This extractor can be used to obtain or extract oils from dried herbs and crushed remains (stems, leaves). Up to 40 g of herbs can be filled into the stainless steel container. In addition, a perforated filter paper can be inserted at the bottom of the sieve.
The container is then closed and held over a collecting tray made of ceramic, metal, refractory glass or silicone. Now the DME gas is poured in through the opening in the head of the extractor. After about five to ten minutes, all of the oil has left the extractor.
Initially, the extract still contains a large amount of liquid or gas. To speed up the evaporation, the bowl can be placed in another bowl of hot water.
In the end, a golden, sticky oil, rather a resin, remains. About 2.5 ml of oil can be obtained from 40 g of plant parts. For storage, it should be placed in a sealable glass jar.
The rich and highly concentrated oil or resin can be vaporized with vaporizers suitable for this purpose or a drop of it can be put on a cigarette.

IMPORTANT: The extraction must be carried out outdoors! It is recommended to wear gloves, because the extractor and the gas cylinder get very cold.

In principle, highly/multiple purified lighter gas such as COLIBRI, JEAN CLAUDE, RONSON and the KOMET butane gas can also be used for extracting.
